Conal Dempsey's Custom 991 GT3 MR

8 weeks is a short time in racing history, and to get Conal's new 991 GT3 MR ready for racing at Hampton Downs.
It's an even shorter time when you realise that the car landed minus an engine and gearbox! This gearbox and bi-turbo engine combination is a first for this model worldwide, which was fitted and tested during the past 8 weeks. The car has performed flawlessly!
Well done team - Peter, Gareth, Glenn, Michael and Royce!

After much development and trial with Conal's Porsche 964 Turbo Le Mans over the past months we had a very successful weekend at Pukekohe.

3.8 964 Engine Conversion

As a most satisfied customer of Motorscience since 2004, during which time Peter and his team have kept my 1992 964C2 in trouble-free mechanical condition, I recently decided to have its engine re-built to 3.8 litres with complimentary higher spec components and suspension modifications. This was partly a celebration of my continuing ownership of the car since new, and a desire to enhance its special characteristics and performance.
The result exceeded my expectations because the car is now substantially more lively, pulling with the increased vim of circa 300bhp. And, being 20mm lower with up-rated springs, there is much improved handling without compromising ride comfort and practicality. By way of some further endorsement, Racing Ray Williams has since driven the car and equates its performance to that of his 930 Turbo in its original factory specification.
Overall, Peter’s knowledge, expertise and carefully considered approach have produced an excellent dynamic balance whilst retaining the original wheels and tyre sizes to essentially maintain the car’s standard appearance. The result is an understated but considerably more enjoyable car to drive.
I look forward to my continuing association with Motorscience where the obliging service and assistance of its staff, even outside normal working hours, is very much appreciated.

Targa Rally 2014

Here's some great feedback from one of our clients who competed in the Targa Rally...
Hi Peter,
All done and dusted. Car performed amazingly. We went a bit faster this time, so were chasing rattles and brakes for first couple of days. The second half was much smoother for the crew. 770km of Special stages, 1900km touring makes for a pretty hard event. We improved over last targa to 17th /40 in Classic class. Our fastest stages were Crown Range. Larnach Castle and Mt Cargil where we got in the top 3rd overall.
